SMT Plus is a privately-held company headquartered in Penn Valley, CA with development operations in Canada, a globally dispersed workforce and network of representatives, resellers and distributors.
Our company was founded in 1985 by our CEO and President, James C. Blankenhorn, an Electrical Engineer. In its early years, SMT Plus was a major electronic circuit board design and prototype assembly company that provided training, primarily for CAD designers of electronic circuit boards.
In 1988, SMT Plus sold the design and assembly portions of the company to Jabil Circuits Inc. (www.jabil.com ). Since then SMT Plus has continued to expand on product and service offerings to include the provision of custom courseware development, generic off-the-shelf instructional kits and web-based courses, various onsite training services, seminars and the authoring of numerous books and web-based publications. Our primary focus and expertise is competency development and assurance, performance improvement, knowledge infrastructure, and process improvement related issues.
